Related to the rose, this plant flowers abundantly in late summer and draws in the pollinators. The fernlike foliage gives it its common name of fernbush. It is drought resistant, does best in well-drained soils. Idaho native plant. The fernbush provides a valuable food source to native bees, honey bees, bumble bees and butterflies.
