Goatsbeard, a clump forming perennial, needs rich soils with consistent moisture and afternoon shade. Flowers are cream colored, large and plume-like. These plants produce flowers that are either male or female, the male flowers are showier. Flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies and birds.
