Hyacinths are brilliantly colored and wonderfully fragrant, so plant them near your front door or an area that you pass by often to enjoy the fragrance. This bulb has long strap-like glossy leaves. Winter moisture is usually enough water for the plant to produce the flowers and after blooming, the plant needs little moisture. Well-drained soils will prevent bulb rot.
