A beautiful shrub noted for their large showy flowers. There are many varieties of hydrangeas, mophead, lacecap, oakleaf, and panicultatas, in standard and dwarf sizes. Many do very well in the Treasure Valley. To have a blue colored hydrangea requires acidic soil which can be difficult to provide in our area. With a little research or asking at a local nursery you will find several choices of hydrangeas to choose from that will thrive in the Treasure Valley.
